Cemetery Headstone Cleaning Days

All hands on deck! You are invited to join Washingtonville Cemetery Committee member Jill Moore for a professional hands-on headstone cleaning series in preparation for the July Civil War Commemoration at the cemetery. Over the course of several weekends and a few weekdays, there are 46-48 Civil War headstones that need to be cleaned before July 1. Come learn and practice proper cleaning techniques using approved, safe products to use on headstones as endorsed by the Association for Gravestone Studies.
RSVP your spot here so I know you’re coming!
As there is no water out there, please bring a few jugs of water with you if possible (tap is fine). I will have all other supplies. Bring a towel, garden kneeler, or something to sit on if you don’t want to sit on the ground. Warning: you will get wet and dirty most likely. Please check the Facebook page for updates for inclement weather updates before heading to the cemetery.
ALL TIMES: Noon – 5 pm (ish)
DATES: Sun, April 23 / Sat, April 29 / Fri, May 5 (canceled due to scheduling conflict) / Sat, May 6 / Fri, May 12 / Sat, May 13
Sat., July 1 – Mon., July 3
