Orange County was an extremely important focal point in Hudson Valley during the American Revolutionary War. Along with ardent displays of patriotism, it bore witness to fierce and bloody battles. Some of our cemetery’s first inhabitants were Revolutionary War soldiers and their families who had helped to build our community and county, establishing long familial lines that lingered well into the 20th century and beyond.
